Our bitesize learning sessions are designed to break down all aspects of fundraising for small charities and CICs into manageable chunks. Each session lasts 45 minutes and is offered alongside an additional info pack, providing you with the templates you need to get started.
Forecasting Income & Making a simple Fundraising Plan

This sessions will teach you how to reliably forecast income from Trusts and Foundations, and organise your funding applications for the year in a simple fundraising plan
We will:
- Use an organisation as an example to make a simple forecast
- Look at their upcoming opportunities and organise them in a simple fundraising plan, using a template “Fundraising Plan” spreadsheet

This course is designed as a standalone course, so you can attend even if you haven’t been to the previous session and still get lots of useful information from it – but it might be useful to download and listen to the “Finding & Qualifying Funders” recording before here

We’ll cover where to search for funding opportunities and how to sort through them to decide which are worth pursuing for your organisation.
We will:
- Look at free resources that you can use to find out about funding opportunities
- Use an organisation as an example to search for relevant opportunities
- Dig into a couple of opportunities to pull out relevant information and help us decide whether it’s worth pursuing for our example charity
- Add the relevant information in a template “Funders Research” spreadsheet
